i am completely and utterly exhausted. the winds from guam's typhoon, which averaged 50-60 mph and got up to 80 mph, kept slamming rain against the house. it was impossible to sleep until about 4am when the rain ebbed off. apparently, 500,000 homes are without power. thankfully, mine is not one of them.

the cleaning crew is supposed to arrive this morning. they're gonna clean the carpets and the house from top to bottom. hopefully, it will be immaculate when it gets listed tomorrow. then i've got to cross my fingers and hope it sells quickly for a high price... or at least more quickly than the house we want to buy. 09:07 am

thanksgiving wasn't too bad. except for the 8 hour drive to sacramento. we decided to take 152 to I5 instead of 580. we spent 4 or 5 hours getting to I5. completely stop and go. ugh. i'm not sure if going 580 would have been any better tho. finally met my niece, who's almost 4 now and is no longer butt-ugly despite her baby pictures. rather disturbingly, my sister-in-law was telling me that if they ever died, they'd want jason and i to take care of baylee. shudder. 12:10 pm
